Anodising Service

We now provide an Anodising Service where we can anodise and optionally colour parts supplied to us. We can remove existing colouring and then recolour to your requirements, or just remove any colouring and then re-anodise your parts.

Our anodising is done in batches, but we aim to return all items within 5 working days.

Our pricing is done by weight, starting at just £10 plus return postage for the first 100g of parts, then £5 per 100g (or part thereof) after that.

What is Anodising?

Anodising is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer, typically by 15 μm (0.0005 inches) on the surface of metal parts. Anodizing increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Due to the porous nature of this oxide layer, we can colour this using special dye before sealing the oxide layer with a chemical process. This gives aluminium parts an outer layer that is resistant to both corrosion and wear, while also retaining a uniform colour.
